Teachers gave you high ratings for the passionate manner with which you convey your message, how well the workshop was conducted, and the knowledge you imparted particularly about local Black history. Not only did you arm our students with the knowledge and understanding of our heritage, but you also set the expectation of continued excellence. \u2026During your parent workshop, you empowered parents to take control of the learning and development of their children\u2019s minds and spirit. Concrete examples and strategies were shared with parents that equipped them with the tools our youth need in order to succeed. \u2026Finally, your \u201cTeacher, Know Thy Self\u201d workshops for our teachers could not have come at a more poignant time. By asking teachers to reflect on their own health, wellness, and empowerment, you provided a means for evaluating their effectiveness. Teachers appreciated the time to reflect, learn, and begin a new journey of understanding.\u00a0<\/em> \u00a0<em>You are a true champion of children and the learning process. Your presentation was so full of history in context. It was thought provoking. It was also entertaining. You were wonderful with the students at Troup School. You encouraged a sense of self-confidence that challenged them to see themselves in a whole new light. You helped them articulate their goals and challenge themselves to change in order to meet those goals.\u00a0 \u00a0&#8230;<\/em><em>Because of your spirit, knowledge, integrity and passion, the \u201cThank You Rosa Parks\u201d Weekend was a great success.
